Plan Checking
Ilya Engineering can help you with a Plan check, which is part of the permit review process. With Plan Check, the City (office) carefully reviews the architectural plans you have submitted and how you will build the structure following the proposed Plan.
However, it is essential to know that some permits do not have Plans. Hence you can avoid the Plan Check process for them. Usually, the building/ structure permit Plan Check process can take a time of 15-20 working days or a month. For example, structures such as residential addition, new single-family homes, remodeling, grading permits, signs, retaining walls, pools, patio covers, and some minor tenant jobs & improvements may need this much time.
But, if City (office) calls for a Second Plan Check due to the non-approvable of the initial Plan- the Second Plan Check (process) can take approximately 10 business days!
Grading & Drainage Plans
